Built in a few minutes, every line links to its source page

You did not train for this part of the job.

A single medico-legal referral can run past 500 pages, whether it is a workers compensation claim, a CTP or personal injury matter, an IME or a family court report. GP notes, hospital records, prior assessments, imaging and scanned handwriting arrive in different formats, and none of it in order. Before you can assess anything, you have to read all of it, reconcile it, and build the chronology in your head. That is four to five hours of unpaid, non-clinical work per case, and it is the reason your calendar fills faster than your income does.

How it works

From reading 500 pages to validating a structured summary.

Medilee does not ask you to trust a black box. It reads the referral files, extracts what matters, and hands you a structured chronology where every fact links straight back to its source page. Your job changes from manual interpretation to fast validation. You confirm, you correct, you move on. The expertise stays with you. The paperwork does not.

Case prep

Stop reading 500 pages to find the ten that matter.

Upload the referral files and start with a structured case summary: a clean chronology of key events, the clinically relevant history pulled forward, and the referrer's questions listed out. Every line is linked to its source page, and anything inconsistent is flagged for you to check.

You begin every case already understanding it.
Referrer's questions
1Is the current condition causally related to the workplace injury?
2What is the degree of permanent impairment?
3Is further treatment reasonable and necessary?

Report assist

Never start a report from a blank page again.

Start from a structured foundation built from the case summary, the transcript and approved reference material. Medilee helps you organise and respond to the referrer's questions, ring-fenced to validated case data and your own opinion. Your writing style and formatting stay yours.

You start writing from something, not from nothing.
Response to Question 1: Causation
On the balance of the available evidence, the current lumbar condition is causally related to the workplace injury of 12 Mar 2023, noting the 2019 prior injury requires clarification. Each claim linked to source · draft, your words
The economic argument

Finish more reports without adding hours.

Your income is capped by one number: how many quality reports you can finish. It barely matters whether the fee is fixed by a compensation scheme, or you are billing for an IME, a personal injury matter or a family court report. Either way, every hour spent reading files and drafting from a blank page is an hour you cannot spend assessing. Medilee lifts that burden off both ends, preparation and write-up, so the same clinical hours turn into more finished reports.

Work it out on your own numbers
With Medilee, prep drops to about 15 minutes per case.
With Medilee
34 hrs
non-clinical hours reclaimed each month
4.3 days
of working time back, every month
+$6,800
additional billable capacity per month if you reinvest that time

Illustrative estimate based on the numbers you enter. Medilee reduces preparation, not the clinical assessment or write-up, and assumes referral volume is available to fill the reclaimed time. Real added capacity depends on your case mix. In pilot testing with practising specialists, preparation fell from four to five hours to around fifteen minutes per case.

Plans from $199 per month, or $166/mo billed annually. AUD, ex GST. In a fixed-fee scheme, one extra report a month more than covers your subscription. See plans and pricing

Built for the hardest files, not the tidy ones.

Handles the hardest files.

Validated on referral files exceeding 500 pages, the kind that break generic tools.

Every fact is traceable.

One click takes you from any point in the summary to the exact source page, so you can stand behind every line.

Catches what is easy to miss.

Inconsistencies and discrepancies inside the file are flagged automatically for your review.

Medilee surfaces the key facts and chronology from the referral file and turns my dictation into a first draft, so I can focus on the opinion instead of the paperwork. A report that used to take most of a day now takes an hour or two.

You form the opinion. Medilee handles everything around it.

Medilee never forms a clinical view and never writes your conclusion. It removes the document burden around the assessment so your judgement has room to work. Report drafting is ring-fenced to validated case data and your own opinion, we prioritise faithfulness over fluency, and everything is traceable and auditable by design. In a setting where your reports have to withstand scrutiny, that is not a nice-to-have. It is the point.

Common questions

What specialists ask before they start.

What is Medilee?

Medilee is a medico-legal reporting platform for specialists. It reads a referral file, extracts what matters, and produces a structured, source-linked case summary in minutes, so you spend your time assessing rather than sorting paper.

What types of reports does Medilee support?

Medilee supports the full range of medico-legal work: workers compensation and personal injury claims, independent medical examinations and expert witness reports. If your work involves reading a referral file and writing an opinion, Medilee fits.

Does Medilee write my medical opinion for me?

No. Medilee never forms a clinical view and never writes your conclusion. It removes the document burden around the assessment. Report drafting is ring-fenced to validated case data and your own opinion, and every line is traceable to its source.

Who owns the data I upload, and is it used to train AI models?

You do. We do not own your data, and you own the reports you produce with it. We do not use personal information, including health information, in identifiable form to train, fine-tune or develop any AI model, and we contractually require our AI providers not to train their models on data we submit. We may use irreversibly de-identified and aggregated data to evaluate and improve the platform, and we will not attempt to re-identify anyone from it. When your subscription ends your data is available for export for 30 days and is then deleted. Full detail is in our Privacy Policy and Terms.

How much time does Medilee save per report?

In pilot testing with practising specialists, preparation fell from four to five hours to around fifteen minutes per file. Your results will vary with case mix.

How does Medilee handle very large referral files?

Medilee is validated on referral files exceeding 500 pages, the kind that break generic tools. It builds a clean chronology, pulls the clinically relevant history forward, and flags inconsistencies for your review.

Is my data secure, and where is it hosted?

Your data is hosted onshore, in Australia for Australian customers, encrypted at rest and in transit, protected by role-based access and full audit logging, and privacy-first by design. Medilee is independently certified to ISO/IEC 27001:2022 for information security management, and has completed a SOC 2 Type 1 examination.
